Day 18 – Favorite Supporting Female Anime Character

First thing that came to mind was all the female characters in Fullmetal Alchemist because they’re all so strong in their various ways, but I feel like I’m answering a lot with FMA. I could’ve just did an FMA challenge if I wanted to talk about them, so I’m putting someone else here. I badly wanted to put Lili (or Ayura and Tetora) of Akatsuki no Yona, but I remembered that she’s not in the anime. Here’s who I chose to put here, though.

Yoshida Chizuru (Kimi ni Todoke)

Chizuru is one of Sawako’s best friends. I also love Ayane, but out of those two, I’m more attached to Chizuru. She’s not girlish and can be slow at times. She can be so emotional at times, too. When she realized the truth about Tooru, she stood strong, facing and confessing everything. She was able to get over it, too.

Rumors spread that she was a yankee, but she just coolly brushed it off. Though she and Ayane didn’t start well, they eventually developed a good friendship. They also got scared of Sawako at first, but they saw how she truly is, so they chose to interact with her, eventually beginning a wonderful friendship.

Chizu is Ryu’s childhood friend who always supports him. Whenever he feels down, she’s there for him. They have one of the cutest relationships, too!
