Cross Game’s Episode 1 Ending

I can’t talk much about it here because of spoilers, but it really surprised me when I watched it. I read the synopsis before watching the anime and it definitely didn’t talk about that. Sometimes, there are series which has synopsis that include such happenings, but Cross Game didn’t have it, so I was shocked. I think for some it could bring up some suspicions that that will happen, though.
