Day 27 – Most Badass Scene From Any Anime Character
When one says “badass scene” from any anime character, I guess a lot will think about the various fights from shounen anime series. I admit that I thought of them first, too. Like, Roy, with the wounds he sealed himself, slayed Lust. Or Gon totally going berserk (with a rather funny hair) against Neferpitou. However, I wanted to talk about a female characters here from a shoujo series which actually feels like more seinen/josei-ish. Can’t decide which to put so here, have these two red-haired ladies.
Shirayuki facing Lord Haruka in E03 (Akagami no Shirayukihime)
Haruka is someone who holds a rank and who cares for Zen. He caught wind of a commoner going in and out of the castle and being friendly with the prince, so he tried to give him some advice about choosing his allies. Zen didn’t look like he will give in and forget about his friendship with Shirayuki so he tried to confront her himself. He tried to make her use Zen’s power to get away from him.
However, Shirayuki is a strong woman who is capable of taking care of herself. She will not use Zen’s name just to get what she wants. Even when she first went to visit the castle, she didn’t utter Zen’s name but chose to say Mitsuhide’s and Kiki’s. So, she faced Haruka and wittingly answered his taunts.
I find Shirayuki’s moments as she stand up for herself and for Zen as her most badass moments. Especially whenever it’s with some royals.
Yona in E22 (Akatsuki no Yona)
King Il, Yona’s father, never let Yona hold any weapons. With the horrible turn of events, however, Yona desired to learn archery in order to help with them. She doesn’t want to be a burden and she has a lot of people she wants to protect. She needs to learn how to fight to protect herself, too.
On this episode, Yona showcased the long time she spent in order to strengthen her resolve and skills. She was able to send a chilling glare to an enemy. What’s more, she was able to overcome her fear of ending a life. It’s an image very much different from when she was a sheltered princess inside the castle in episode 1.
And Yona continues to improve and to be better at kicking asses, so I’m so sad that there’s no news of second season to show more people who she is becoming to be.
They both have different circumstances and both strongly face their future, striving to achieve their goals in their own chosen way. Being female, they sometimes face unfavorable situations because of the physical strength they have, but they won’t stop and make that their excuse. They will go risk their lives just to protect who they love, to succeed in their endeavors.
Aaahhh, I love these two so much!
Shirayuki is certainly a very strong female character. I love how she stands up for herself, even if sometimes I just wish she would just stop, bout nope, she’s too awesome for that. I ship her and the ninja though.

She’s easily a loveable female MC! I wish there’ll be another season to show how much more capable she is! *^*
Obi *heartsss*. I low-key ship ObiYuki, too, but I love ZenYuki more. I love how Obi respects, cares for, and loves the two so much that he wouldn’t dare break their relationship with one another. :’>

That Yona scene looks so intense.
Some scenes of that nature I can think of could be…
Tony fighting against the alliance’s forces in Toward the Terra
The adult version of Leo/Kimba grabbing Ham Egg’s rifle with his fangs as the jungle burns in Jungle Emperor Leo (1997)
Yugo’s test to be a hero in front of Yusuf Ali Mesa in Yugo the Negotiator
Tiara’s first transformation in her empowered form in Shamanic Princess and her creepy smile after transforming
