I read that the band Aqua Timez is disbanding by the end of this year. It’s a familiar band because of some of the series I watched which had their songs for OP or ED, but I don’t really listen much to them. However, there are a few songs of them that I liked.
Niji (Rainbow) is probably the first one I got to hear from them since it’s the ED for Gokusen. Eden is another one I liked; it’s ED1 for Magi: The Kingdom of Magic. This one’s my favorite from them, though — Mayonaka no Orchestra.
Mayonaka no Orchestra is translated as Midnight Orchestra. Aqua Timez released the song in 2011 and it is the 16th ending theme for Naruto Shippuden. I liked a lot of Naruto/Shippuden’s songs, but this one is on my top list.
I really can’t critic music that much, but I can say that love Mayonaka no Orchestra’s melody and how the different instruments harmonized for it. I also love how the song speaks a lot about Naruto’s past.
Confession: I used to confuse Mayonaka no Orchestra with Chikyuu Orchestra — Ranma 1/2‘s OP5 because of the word ‘orchestra’.
