Around the end of 2018, I was overwhelmed when I realized how many anime adaptations of the series that I like are coming this 2019. They’re all something that I immensely enjoy to read so I’m looking forward to see them moving and talking! Anyway, here’s my list and my thoughts of them. (Oh, and this doesn’t include those that are continuing from last season.)

Yakusoku no Neverland | Winter 2019
Definitely on top of my list for this winter lineup. This is something I’ve been reading for quite some time now. The first arc is so far the best arc for me so I’m so hyped for this! I’m so excited to read about other people’s thoughts about Ray, Emma, and Norman, and their circumstances in Gracefield.

Kaguya-sama wa Kokusaretai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen | Winter 2019
This one is something I started to read last year because of the nagging of my younger brother. It’s funny and amusing. To be honest, though, I don’t think many will like its kind of episodic nature. (Well, the happenings are connected in some way and there are developments, but they could feel… episodic.)

Chihayafuru 3 | Spring 2019
Words can’t express how much I’m looking forward to this!!!

Kimetsu no Yaiba | Winter 2019
Well, I actually just started with this but I’m liking it so far. I’d love to see its adaptation next season!

Kono Oto Tomare! | Winter 2019 & Fall 2019
THIS! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! You may know how much I love this series with my post about this. I’m so happy that it’s getting a split-cours anime adaptation because I’ll get to enjoy it for it two seasons. I hope that the studio will be able to give the art and music justice, though.

Boku no Hero Academia S4 | Fall 2019
MIRIO! NEJIRE! AMAJIKI! ERI! I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS! Lots of fun and action and drama and action, you guys and gals!

Diamond no Ace Act II | Fall 2019
S2 ended in Winter 2016 so it’s going to be 3 years since then. Act II is definitely way better than its predecessors, but it wouldn’t have become like that had the foundations set on the previous two seasons weren’t done well. Anyway, I’m so ready to watch Eijun kick asses even that disastrous yet still notable game against Ichidaisan!

Haikyuu!! (Shin Series) | Fall 2019
It’s quite obvious with this blog that I immensely love this series. I’m so excited to see the new characters that’ll be introduced animated! I’m so ready for the flood of fans that will love a looot of them. Training camps! Nationals! CAN’T WAIT UGH though it’s still not confirmed that it’s Fall 2019 because it may be around 2020, too

Fruits Basket | Fall 2019
To be honest, as far as I remember, I didn’t quite like the anime when I watched it while I was younger. However, they say that this one is going to be closer to the manga. The author apparently despised the previous one. If she approved this, she most likely will be more involved with it, no? Many like the manga so I’m hoping to like this as well.
These are some that I added just now when I skimmed through the list of anime series announced.

Ueno-san wa Bukiyou | Winter 2019
Well. Sounds like it will be a fun one. Hopefully.

Kabukichou Sherlock | Spring 2019
Mystery and comedy. I’m curious so I’m adding this to my list.

Kochouki: Wakaki Nobunaga | Summer 2019
I’ve become interested with Oda Nobunaga because of Ikemen Sengoku. And there’s actually a lot of J-drama series that feature him so I’m interested with an animation about him.
Here’s all of them so far. The bulk of what I’m waiting for are from Fall 2019 lineup (the last season of the year! cries), but I’ll see what I can watch from these other seasons. Maybe I’ll just update this post when some other series get my attention.
Anyhow, I hope we’ll all enjoy what we’ll watch this year!

I can’t wait for Neverland!

Fingers crossed that we’ll enjoy the anime series! The story is enjoyable and I hope the anime won’t butcher it. 😀
