Hak (Akatsuki no Yona) & Balsa (Seirei no Moribito)

Nope. I don’t ship them, but I love them so much. Ever since I got to watch Seirei no Moribito not too long ago, I wanted to draw them together. They have lots of similarities — they’re both adept at using their weapons (glaive for Hak, spear for Balsa), they both have someone to protect (though for different reasons), and they’re both just generally capable in life. I bet it’d be fun to see them spar!

Anyway, I’m sad that Seirei no Moribito isn’t much well-known. It’s a Spring 2007 anime that’s under Production I.G. It’s based on Uehashi Nahoko’s novels. I actually only knew about the J-drama adaptation before discovering that it had an anime adaptation, too.
